The project is finally finished and available for listening! We are extremely proud of this project. It started back in November as basic remix project and slowly took on a life of its own until we were recording new material and re-doing songs to the tracks we had crafted. P.SO is one of the most talented artists we have had the pleasure of working with. He had a vision for this project and the songs on here touch on subjects that everyone can identify with.

When producing this project we took influence from all types of music. Through out the 8 tracks you can hear samples from Memory Tapes, Midaircondo, Kleerup and more artists that we were listening to at the time we were producing the project. The self titled single from our space aged project Moontones. This track was one of the final tracks we did for the project and a completely new record, not a remix from P.SO's Earthtones project. After sampling a nice little indie gem, Jamison laced the synths and seriously incredible track was created. P.SO came through and laced 2 incredible verses and the Moontones record was born.

Another leak another week! This week we released the short but intense track with PsO and Von Pea of Tanya Morgan trading verses while our pulsing drums set the tone. This track was a blast to make, combining tribal elements with some Justice meets Dr Dre synths.

After a cricially acclaimed 2009 which included a string of classic performances, a nomination in the Urb 1000, and the release of his lauded “Earthtones” mixtape, P.SO is starting 2010 off with a trip out of this world. “Moontones” is the follow up to 2dopeboyz declared “masterpiece” Earthtones and will be released on Feb 24th for free download. The project is a collaboration between P.SO and up and coming producers The Soundmen, who have been making quite the buzz in 2009 as well with their project VeckaFlyest and multiple remixes which landed them on many best of 2009 lists. Moontones is a mixture of original material and genre-jumping remixes to showcase the unique chemistry and genre jumping sounds that PsO and The Soundmen have created together.

Captain Cessna is a true story from the Vietnam war (check it out here – as told by Anthony’s dad). Straight from Anthony Mills:

“My Dad never talks about his experiences in Vietnam. On his first international trip to visit me in Stockholm he met his new grandaughter and he met Karl Gustav XVI the King of Sweden whom Super Viral Brothers was performing for. Later that evening he told this story about “Captain Cessna” that I had never heard before. As fate would have it, we had our final recording session the very next day and this true musical narration was born. “Captain Cessna” is the inspirational war song dedicated to Joe Williams Jr. a veteran who never got nothing from the US Government.”
